Attaching stems, or wires, to a tiara band is quite straightforward and consists of wrapping the end of the stem around the band to hold it in place.
The important thing to remember is to squash the end of the stem into the band, with a pair of chain nose pliers. This will help to secure the stem and will stop the end of the wire scratching the wearer's head.

Step 1
Position the stem on the front of the tiara band at the height you want it to sit.
It you are using a stem with beads on it, rest the bottom bead on the top edge of the tiara band.

Step 2
Take the wire, at the end of the stem, under the tiara band and bend it upwards behind the band.

Step 3
Bend the wire in front of the band so that it lies on the right hand side of the stem.

Step 4
Take the wire under and behind the band again and cross it over behind the stem so that it appears at the top of the band on the left hand side of the stem.

Step 5
Bend the wire in front of the band so that it lies on the left hand side of the stem.

Step 6
Bring the wire up behind the band and trim it so that the end falls half way between the top and the bottom edge of the band.
On the inside of the band squash the end of the wire into the band with a pair of chain nose pliers.
